Atherosclerotic plaque progression is driven by pathophysiological activity. This activity also destabilizes the plaque which can lead to rupture (e.g. heart attack) but is invisible using routine CT imaging.
We are creating image analysis software validated using the best information from the leading invasive and non-invasive medical imaging methods.
Beginning with CT scans of the heart or arteries, our software provides streamlined personalized analysis, enabling treatment plans designed specifically for that patient – no more crude thresholds or rule-of-thumb decisions.
Using advanced medical image analysis, deep learning and engineering, we are developing methods to predict those at highest risk of heart disease – these methods are within Mosaic.
Mosaic will provide the key information on atherosclerotic plaque and helps reveal the dangerous disease before it becomes a problem – enabling better clinical management and early detection of risk.
